Interaction of Mitosis with the community

Interaction of Mitosis with the community
@hurtmanriot

Personally, I have been supporting the Mitosis project for a long time, and I can see how important the community is to the project — it truly values and listens to its members. In this article, I would like to share some examples of this.

Testnet Game Of Mito:

At the end of November, Mitosis launched a public testnet with verifiable rewards for users.

When the testnet launched, many people discovered Mitosis and eventually became part of its amazing community. You could say that, for most, the journey of getting to know Mitosis began with the testnet.

The testnet often experienced various bugs — which is completely normal, as its purpose was to identify and fix such issues. People shared these bugs in Discord, and the team listened and actively worked on resolving them.

Moreover, when the community offered suggestions or ideas, the team made an effort to implement them. It’s truly awesome that we could all take part in shaping the project together

Activities on the Discord server:

There are many activities on the Discord server that contribute to the growth of the community and help keep members engaged. I’ll divide them into several categories.

Weekly Raffle:

Every week, there is a $MORSE token giveaway for simply participating in a lottery, where 30 winners are selected to receive 0.1 $MORSE each

To participate, you need to either have certain roles or purchase tickets using internal points (karma), which you earn by being active on the server and creating content

Roles on the server:

The server has different categories of roles depending on your contributions, such as content creation and overall activity, as well as for making a deposit in the Expedition or owning certain NFTs.

Roles for content creation and server activity:

These roles are divided based on the type of content you create, such as memes, art, articles, videos, posts, and activity on Twitter.

There are also special roles like Guru, Gakusei, Daigakusei, and Sensei, which are awarded through community voting. These roles are given to members who actively help others on the server and contribute significantly to the overall activity.

Roles for Expedition deposits and NFTs:

These roles are awarded for depositing your wrapped ETH into the Expedition, as well as for owning NFTs from specific collections — including the Morse NFT collection, which is part of the Mitosis ecosystem.

Server Events:

Various community-focused events are regularly held on the server — for example, poker tournaments, where the usual rewards are server karma points. Occasionally, winners can also receive MORSE tokens as prizes.

These poker tournaments are mainly focused on community interaction without any expectation of personal gain, which is really awesome. It's all about connecting, having fun, and building relationships within the community.

Encouraging Activity Through MORSE Token Rewards:

The server features a praise system, where other members can acknowledge your contributions — whether it’s through content creation or active participation within the server.

Based on the amount of praise you receive, along with other metrics, Mitosis distributes MORSE, an ecosystem token (not the main token), on a monthly basis as a reward for community engagement.

You simply create content (posts, articles, memes, art), stay active on the server, and each month you receive MORSE tokens, which you can sell if you wish.
However, if you hold more than 1 MORSE in your wallet, you’ll automatically receive a Morse NFT — and owning this NFT also grants you a special role on the server

This way, the community becomes even more motivated to contribute to the development of the project, knowing that Mitosis truly values their efforts and is willing to reward them for their contributions.

Top Content Creators:

The server often features various types of content from the community — including artwork, articles, and more. From time to time, special content contests are held where the best submissions in different categories are selected, and the creators are rewarded with MORSE tokens. (I’ve even won one of these myself!)

Morse DAO Voting:

Recently, a voting system was introduced via the Snapshot platform, along with the creation of Morse DAO.
Anyone who holds more than 1 MORSE in their wallet can participate in governance voting, helping shape the future of the project.

These votes highlight the project's commitment to involving the community and allowing them to take part in important decisions. Most importantly, the community recognizes this and eagerly participates in the voting process, showing genuine enthusiasm and support.

Mitosis University:

A few months ago, a new educational platform called Mitosis University was launched. It was created to allow authors to produce educational content for other users, who in turn can read these articles and learn something new.

One particularly interesting aspect is the incentive system for authors. For each article published, authors earn Article Points, which will be directly converted into the verified token MITO.

I’d call this system a true “Win-Win” for both sides: authors get to create valuable, unique content that helps grow and promote the platform, while the project ensures their contributions are rewarded in the future.

What’s even more interesting is that Luke has hinted multiple times — and occasionally even said it outright — that those who contribute through content creation and other meaningful efforts will be rewarded (most likely referring to a potential MITO token airdrop).

And when you read all of this, you truly realize that everything you do for the project is genuinely appreciated — something that, unfortunately, isn’t so common these days.

Conclusion:

After reading this article, I believe you can see that Mitosis truly values its community, listens to them, and is ready to reward those who go above and beyond.
Many projects overlook or even ignore their communities — but Mitosis is different. It’s about building something together, with real respect for its people.

Believe in Mitosis 💜
