Kaito Pre-Tge projects PT 1: OG LABS

INTRODUCTION
In the rapidly evolving world of Web3, a major missing link has been the infrastructure to support large-scale AI, massive data, and low-latency decentralized apps. OG Labs (also known as 0G) is stepping into this gap with a modular stack that combines speed, scale, and decentralization.
As part of our Kaito Pre-TGE series, let's dive into what OG Labs is building, how users benefit, and how it’s redefining the future of on-chain AI.
What Is OG Labs Building?
OG Labs is developing a decentralized AI Operating System (dAIOS), made up of four modular services:
- Chain – An AI-optimized Layer 1 blockchain
- Storage – Decentralized storage for massive files and models
- Compute – A decentralized GPU marketplace
- Data Availability (DA) – A scalable, high-throughput data layer
Each of these services works independently but can also be used together to power full-scale decentralized AI applications.
Breaking Down the Tech
1. 0G Chain
A fast, EVM-compatible blockchain with over 2,500 TPS
- Built for smart contracts that need to interact with AI models or data
- Sub-second finality, designed for real-time interactions
2. Decentralized Storage
- Handles gigabyte-to-terabyte scale files (perfect for AI models or games)
- Uses Proof-of-Random-Access (PoRA) to ensure data is being stored reliably
- Much cheaper than traditional decentralized storage platforms
3. GPU Compute Marketplace
- Allows anyone with a GPU to offer compute power
- AI developers can run inference and training workloads on-demand
- Uses smart contracts for verifiable execution and payments
4. Data Availability Layer (DA)
- Decouples consensus from data storage to scale infinitely
- Uses Publishing Lane (for consensus proofs) and Storage Lane (for actual data)
- Ideal for rollups, L2s, and data-heavy dApps
How Users Benefit
- Scalability Like Web2, Trust Like Web3
0G’s architecture allows for Web2-level performance (fast, cheap, massive scale) while preserving Web3 values (decentralization, transparency, ownership).
- Lower Costs, Higher Performance with storage of 10–100x cheaper than competitors, DA throughput is up to 50,000x faster than traditional systems and compute is pay-as-you-go and not locked to centralized providers
- Launch Anything, Anywhere
- Build an AI-powered dApp? Use Chain + Compute
- Run a gaming metaverse? Use Storage + DA
- Create an L2 with your own data availability? Just use their DA layer
- Customize Everything: a place where developers can program the DA layer, control replication, storage rules, token mechanics and compose new architectures from the modular stack
Real-World Applications
- On-chain AI models: Store, run, and verify AI right on-chain
- Decentralized gaming: Host massive assets without sacrificing performance
- DeFi oracles and rollups: Get high-speed, low-latency data availability
- AI compute-as-a-service: Plug into a GPU marketplace without renting AWS
CONCLUSION
The future of Web3 will be defined by how well it can integrate AI, massive data, and seamless user experiences. OG Labs is not just adding features to existing chains they’re rebuilding the stack with modularity, speed, and AI in mind. For developers, it means fewer compromises. For users, it means faster, cheaper, and smarter dApps.
As we continue our Kaito Pre-TGE series, OG Labs stands out as a core building block for the next wave of decentralized innovation.
